| What they are?
Fighting and Chivalry have been at the core of our society since its inception. Fighting can be a joy for both the fighter and the spectator and the Whim Tourneys are my way of enhancing that joy. A whim tourney is just that, a tourney subject to my whim. The goal is to keep the tournament to an hour in length, if there are many fighters it will be single elimination, if there are few we could have double elimination. Every bout will be heralded and the honors given to the crowd assembled. There will be many prizes awarded, hopefully created by various artisans of the East Kingdom, at the end of the tourney for things other than winning. Some possibilities include the following, but all is subject to my whim:
The important point is that many fighters get a chance to learn and play, and the local artists get a chance to show their skill. Prizes should be simple. I am not suggesting master art works but simple gifts that can be used by the fighter or his lady/her lord. Examples: trim, a tunic, garb, an item specific to the theme of the event, jewelry, a belt, a basket of bruise ointments, etc I appreciate your taking the time to hear these words and to help make my whim a reality.
